Technology can track and see patterns in past natural disasters and be more prepared for ones that are coming.
Governments can build structures to reduce damage and deaths and provide emergency plans.

  2. It is difficult to predict when earthquakes will happen and how powerful they will be. The best way to help reduce damage from earthquakes is by preparing for them. Learning what to do when earthquakes happen is the best way to stay safe. Roads, bridges, and buildings can all be built to withstand the effects of earthquakes. 3. Flooding can cause a lot of damage if it gets to deep it can take down houses or you will have to pay a lot to fix small damage.

Put some food water and medical suplies in a safe location. Keep some of the same things in your car. Put your outside things inside like folding chairs. Have a safe place and or a location you can get to if your house is flooding

  4. In 1964 the Swiss Federal Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research studied the relationship between weather and snow conditions, the causes of snow slides, and avalanches move and might be controlled, the effects of pollution on alpine trees, and its relationship with forests, Those studies help them predict when the avalanches will take place and thus being able to take measures to prevent them

  5. Hurricanes, cyclones, and typhoons are all the same thing. They are only called different things depending on where they are located at. Certain components make up this kind of storm and sometimes the components may be present but the storm may or may not occur. The components are pre-existing weather disturbance, warm tropical oceans, moisture, and relatively light winds.

  6. Tornadoes darken the sky and can be predicted. If there is a tornado warning in your area it would be your best bet to be on the lowest interior room of where you are. Early warning signs can be: a very dark sky, very calm and quiet conditions, and rotation in the clouds. Tornados can strike in seconds, it is a good idea during tornado season to be listening to the radio to be aware if there is any tornado activity in your area. http://environment.nationalgeographic.com/environment/natural-disasters/tornado-safety-tips/
